So Gustav blows into town on Monday Sept 29th which also happens to be the day our newest granddaughter, Madelyn(Maddie) is coming home from the hospital.
We lost electricity at about 1:30 on that day and here we are battening down for the first night of no electrcity. We didn't have a generator at that time so we were kinda lmited on what we could do.
We sustained little damage, thankfully, and were blessed to be able to use my mom and dad's generator since they didn't loose power. How do you live in Louisiana without a generator? I don't anymore cause this ole girl bought her one!
Even though we got very little damage we were without power for 7 days which was a bummer. I did however find that I got a little sidetracked after the storm. Competely stopped blogging and kinda lost my focus.
I found myself easily distracted by the smallest things. Not really having the energy or even the want to to do the things I wanted to do...lol.
Thankfully after some detours, I am back to my old self. Got my focus and want to back. Still trying to figure this blog thingy out and make me some new friends :)
