Somethings fishy....

This is the fishy smell that I was smelling. My LSU garden/pond that I have worked so hard to get put in is finally near completion:)
My beautiful sprinkler that is an added attraction to y garden and the fish love it
What else can I say? Here are the fishy fish

The side view. I have a few other thing to get done but for the most part, its ready to enjoy!!
My Tigers stepping stone!! A gift from my grandbabies

My LSU birdhouse
A gift from my wonderful hubby

My gold daylilies
My purple daylilies

I am so proud of my clay pot. A gift from my mom. I've been trying to get something growing in it for a longggggggg time and I've finely accomplished it.

No I don't drink, but for some odd reason I love wine bottles. Ths is my first attempt at a bottle tree and I love it. I am looking for a park/church pew to kinda complete the look. Of course a few more flowers and some flagstone along the top of the pond. Ad always more LSU stuff on the fence. A work in progress, but come and sit with me and enjoy a coffee or tea and the sound of the water.

Inspired...

So its been a hectic couple of days since I was last here what with my daughter not getting accepted to the college of her choice and my grandson getting put on the wrong bus again :( Alas I had time to squeeze in a few small projects. My little table decorations (Thanks MeMe) Then I did a little tree, I guess it is a mixture of MeMe and Susie. It is our "Thankful" Tree. I found a very cheap basket and covered it with fall looking material for $1.00 for the yard I needed. I had to buy moss but already had leaves and cardstock to make the "thankful notes" Istill have a few things I'd like to do with it but you get the general idea. I wanna add a bunch of pumkins and gords all around the basket but its alittle early. At any rate I enjoyed working on the both projects. Very relaxing!!! Off to church...

Lazy Saturday...

Its been raining on and off all day today...again!!! I'm so tired of the rain, although it does keep temp down and thus the electric bill. So whats a girl to do but have lunch at the Cheesecake Bisto? I brought my expectant daughter inlaw, and two of my girls. We ate pasta and cheesecake, yummy! Then its home to cook dinner/sunday lunch. Finished another cake late last night and have uploaded for you viewing pleasure. I think I'm getting this blogging thing, just need some more friends...lol. Have a great evening...till Monday. How about some cake?

FANTASTIC FRIDAY

Well its cake making day again! Its a baby shower cake in pink and brown polka dots. Though I'm excited to be making the cake I am itching to get in the yard to finish my pond. I am having a huge Labor Day get together and hope to have this little area finished to be able to show off. I know what you're thinking...its to yucky hot and rainy. It kinda sorts is. But its getting that time of year, plus the pics Susie posted of the stacked pumpkins has me motivated. By the by, my grandson made it home safely yesterday, on the correct bus. They had cookies and milk while I cooked dinner. As soon as Abby arrives I am planning to take a walk, I feel extremely fat this morning, and then get started on the cake. I will post pictures of the finished product and perhaps some of my pond. I hear Abby at the door, must run.....

Cakes

This is my most recent cake. A birthday cake for a school teacher. They were really pleased with it.I thought it turned out pretty cute
This was a cake I made for my daughters baby shower in May. Since the nursery was in the safari theme thats the way we decorated for the shower. I was really proud at how good the cake came out. Of course since it was for my daughter it was not a paying job...lol.

Tremendous Thursday

Thus far today has been a great day, as compared to yesterday. Relatively speaking yesterday started well, but ended with my nerves being shot. Yesterday was my grandsons first day to right the bus to and from school. And well, when the bus rolled to a stop in front of the house all the kids got off except, you guessed it, Zachary. Thus the next 40 mins were spent in a panic trying to locate him. He finally arrived home just as casual about the whole thing, while we were all in tears. So we are hoping for a better turn out this afternoon. Abby, my grandaughter, arrived at 7:10 this morning and was ready for her breakfast immediately as the people at her house dont feed her...lol. She played while I did a few chores and then we headed out for some errands. Dollar General, Party Time and Wallyword. I have a cake that I am starting this afternoon for Sat morning pickup and needed supplies. We came home, ate lunch and layed down for a nap. I got up as soon as she fell asleep...chuckle!! Now I'm brainstorming about rearranging furniture to set up a crib, trying to figure out this blog and how to get more exposure for my business. Any ideas are appreciated. I will write more later explaining the crib and how this all came about but right now I must bake cookies for my school baby before I go pick him up from the bus stop. Happy Thursday!

Day number 1 in the blogging world

Its a nice rainy Wednesday. I am trying to pretty up this blog site and I thought I was alittle more intelligent then I actually am...lol. I am contemplating ways to get my name out into the public again and get my business kicked back off and I thought that this might be a nice way. All things considered since I quit my job it hasn't been to bad. I've been busy with a few cakes here and there. I'm trusting God will make the way. I will add more details later about all this stuff called life. Right now I am headed to Babies R Us :)
